I’m so spun

A guy I’d been in a situationship for a year and a bit, he introduced me to his best mate over FaceTime, they were hanging out when we hoped on the call. Immediately his best mate starts flirting with me, or at the very least crossing some boundaries, and also he has a girlfriend.

Generally he admits to being ‘flirty’ and they kind of have that culture amongst them it seems.

Anyway, after throwing out a bunch of suggestive flirty comments at me over time, he even tells me to get on a private call with him and proceeds to suggest we meet up privately and to see my privates.

I asked him why he’s doing all this considering he has a girlfriend and his best friend is also the guy I’m talking to, and he said ‘he just likes the thrill’

I did stop him but like, how bizzare. Thoughts?

Why do you want people's opinions on it?

ClassActress · 02/08/2026 16:36

Why are you going along with this?

aquashiv · 02/08/2026 16:37

He sounds gross. What does your situation person say 🤔

BleedinglyObvious · 02/08/2026 16:37

Congratulations! You have finally met Prince Charming.
You'll have the wedding of your dreams and live happily ever after.

purpleme12 · 02/08/2026 16:38

Thoughts are that he wants the best of both worlds

But that's not hard to work out is it

ErrolTheDragon · 02/08/2026 16:39

The bloke you’re in a ‘situationship’ (wtf?) with has a very dodgy best mate - if he knows about this sort of behaviour and is ok with it I’d think twice.

cabus · 02/08/2026 16:40

If you don't want to be pimped out then end your situationship with the pimp.

Simbaonedaythiswillallbeyours · 02/08/2026 16:41

You all sound about 14. Situationship for 18 months?

The best mate is a dickhead, you can say no and block him.

Yes, but he needs to "change" first. Of course he will change because thats what men like this do.

Have a couple of kids with him as well - thats bound to end well.

Oh dear.

UpDownAllAround1 · 02/08/2026 16:44

No thoughts we aren’t all 15

How did you meet this guy?

Lurkingandlearning · 02/08/2026 16:53

My understanding of a situationship is that it is a relationship that both parties know is dependent upon the situation and when that situation ends, so will the relationship. Like when one or both is in a different country for a fixed time for example. If that is what you have I'm surprised the guy you have been seeing didn't shut his friend down given that he is in a relationship with you based on your situations.

For him not to have done that and the friend to think it was ok to talk to you that way and suggest you might want to show him your privates, suggests to me that you are seen as a fuck buddy, just kept around for fucking, and no more. Obviously the friend is trash, the guy you've been seeing happily hangs around with trash and isn't bothered if you were too get into a situation with his friend. I think you could find someone of better character to have a situationship with.

whippersnapper55 · 02/08/2026 19:35

Perhaps you should tell the guy you're in a situationship with that his best friend is an arsehole?

Rondayvu · 02/08/2026 23:40

To see your privates.... little girl please stop talking to strangers on facetime.

BauhausOfEliott · 03/08/2026 00:05

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that your ‘situationship’ doesn’t give a shit about you because you’re not his girlfriend and has probably told his friend that you’re fair game.

Both men are gross. ‘Talking to’ someone for 18 months? Are you mad? He’s using you. And his friend thinks he can use you too because he assumes you lack self-respect, based on what he knows of your non-relationship with his friend.

I know all that all sounds extremely harsh but for your own sake you do need to hear some home truths because this is a shit show and you’re going to get badly hurt if you don’t wake up.

PrincessOfPreschool · 03/08/2026 03:30

Tell your 'boyfriend' (not sure what to call him), and see how he reacts. It'll tell you everything you need to know.

category12 · 03/08/2026 05:49

You seem to be struggling with boundaries with men and online behaviour a lot, there was your other thread about some bloke being pushy for pictures.

Maybe get off the Internet with thirsty guys.

MarthaLovesLaughing · 03/08/2026 06:04

Have some respect for yourself. Grow the fuck up. Stop talking to these vile men
