Am I right to be cautious about app match asking for photos?

So I started talking to this guy on the apps, we eventually did a FaceTime call and toward the end of the call, he said he wants to see me once I’m ready for bed and all. I took that to mean he’d FaceTime me right before bed to see me but he meant for me to send him a picture of myself. Anyway, a couple days later he’s like ‘you said you’d send a me picture the other night, is this how you are?’ and he was essentially saying I didn’t follow through, I then said ‘oh I must’ve misunderstood, I thought you wanted a FaceTime’, so then we did another call that day, on the call he asked me to send a picture of myself the next day, he said he likes pictures and that it can be of my face, or with my tatas or anything really. I immediately got the ick because it felt like he was wanting explicit pictures, and we haven’t even met in person yet. Am I right to be cautious? How would you respond?

He’s probably just being flirty and getting a vibe going but why do I feel a way ://
im sure there’s probably another way to see this without freaking out?

Dont do it op. follow your instinct and block him. You dont owe some gross rando a picture.

Of course you're right to be cautious.

He's after explicit pics and he's trying to push you into doing it.

You don't know this man from Adam, he's being pushy - tell him to take a hike.

It's not "freaking out" to have boundaries and realise when a bloke is chancing his arm.

Lexy2345 · 02/08/2026 15:58

Ugh. Block him. He’s looking for wank fodder.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 02/08/2026 16:02

Would you really want to date a man who would ask a woman he doesn't know and has never met for pictures of her tits? Does he sound as though he would behave well towards you and be a decent and considerate person?

I don't think so. I think he sounds like a man who wants sex, doesn't really care about a relationship or, indeed, a woman as a person.

AgentJohnson · 02/08/2026 16:08

Urgh! Block and don’t look back. Sleazy fucker.

Sodthesystem · 02/08/2026 16:10

I would have blocked at “is this how you are?”. What a fucknugget he sounds.

To be honest I would have blocked at the request for photos. No way am I doing that. Let alone to someone I’ve not even met yet.

In future, have a few conversations and then go on a date. Flirty chat between dates is for men who have earned it. Not for randoms on the internet.

Report him and block him

Missj25 · 02/08/2026 16:41

More men looking to start sexting before they’ve even met you , “ It can be of my face , or my tatas, anything really “ .🙄
Send him a pic of your middle finger .
Even if both parties only want something casual , which is also perfect obviously, least fucking wait until you meet the person in real life .

EarthSight · 02/08/2026 17:48

YES.

you said you’d send a me picture the other night, is this how you are?

Massive red flag. He's asking for revealing photo from a woman he hardly knows, which he knows could be compromising for you, but he's asking anyway for his own thrills.

Then on top of that, he has the fucking audacity to be annoyed and to turn it around on you to see if you'll come running and give him what he wants. If he's like this now, I can bet he would be a nasty piece of work and sexually abusive in a relationship.

Don’t be fooled by him trying to claim this was banter or flirting. He knows exactly what he's doing. He's sewer material.

Immediate block!!!
