I’m confused and drained of this

This is so stupid but it’s bugging me. My partner said he was gonna go have a shower then went off to the bathroom and just ended up using the toilet then came back to sit with me and after about 5 mins of just looking really pissed off got up so I said are you off for a shower now he went ‘I’m going bed’ ‘night’ all funny and then walked off I said you usually give me a kiss you’re in a mood he went no I’m not and frowned at me and walked off.

Honestly this confuses the life out of me cos we were fine then all of a sudden he got like that what is his problem! is this weird behaviour? tomorrow he will be back to normal and I’ll still be annoyed at the fact that even happened and he wouldn’t tell me what’s bloody wrong.

He's a moody twat. You can do better.

FloofTrousers · 25/07/2026 22:06

Grumpiness with you out of nowhere or with no explanation is unacceptable. Did he have his phone with him in the bathroom? Perhaps someone else pissed him off.

SoScarletItWas · 25/07/2026 22:09

He had an uncomfortable poo and still feels a bit dodgy?

I wouldn’t think a single thing about this!

yellowflower29 · 25/07/2026 22:11

@FloofTrousersi agree it’s so out of order, I’m just left now wondering what on earth I even did and left with a horrible feeling. I’m not too sure but I do think even if someone else had pissed him off he shouldn’t be acting like that with me and just communicate it’s so frustrating.

Is he normally moody or is this new behaviour?

If it's new I'd say "chechez la femme". Sorry x

Nousernameideaaga · 25/07/2026 22:12

He went to check his phone and didn’t like what he saw. Sorry 😢

FloofTrousers · 25/07/2026 22:15

What's your relationship like generally? I assume it's not great as you say you're "drained" by this behaviour.

yellowflower29 · 25/07/2026 22:16

@Ilovebakewelltartshe’s miserable but hasn’t done this before. Just annoys me I know tomorrow he will act completely normal and this won’t be spoken about unless I bring it up and he says I’m overreacting about it and then it’s all my fault somehow x

@flooftrousersyeah to be honest it’s not very good at all, we have a 2 year old together and I feel I stick around because of the fact we have a child together but I feel more and more unhappy as time goes on. He can’t communicate with me just rather shut down about things and I don’t think that is fair. I feel like I’m always walking on egg shells

Feeling like you're having to constantly walk on eggshells is no way to live. Relationships need both people to be willing to improve things when times get tough. Sit him down and tell him how you're feeling and see how he responds. If he's not willing to listen or work with you then it might be time to consider splitting up.
