I had the thunderbolt feeling a PP described. Met him at work, felt an instant attraction. A couple of weeks later we ended up getting drunk and sleeping with each other after the Christmas party and he never went home. Well, he went home for one night and we hated it. Six weeks later, he moved in formally, We have been together 30 years, married for 26. I don't believe in 'the one' either but we had insane chemistry right from the start and everything just felt easy. He said he never had a moment's doubt that things were going to work out between us and I have never found a man that could come close to him. Statistically, we are unusual - a lot of relationships like ours burn out. I am glad we are still together, still crazy about each other all these years later. We are very lucky.

Edited to say: That doesn't mean that we haven't put a lot of work into building strong relationship or that we haven't been tested with bad times, we have. Every good relationship takes work.
