Disturbing inappropriate text before first date…

Hi everyone

i just wanted to share a disturbing text I’ve received from a guy.

The date was planned for this Friday and I received the below by text out of nowhere…no previous sexual talk, just planning the date. Totally icked out and disturbed. Urgh!

Quick checkin: Are you behaving yourself or do I need to intervene?

Surely that’s a mistake? I mean, it has no context. It could be a text to a friend on a night out.

Sylviaplathlives · 22/07/2026 22:06

I’d just reply “sorry think you sent this to me by mistake”

remembranceofthingspast · 22/07/2026 22:07

Sounds like something he sent to the wrong person by mistake

Mimimayhem18 · 22/07/2026 22:07

I think it’s a very poor attempt at humor- I wouldn’t necessarily say disturbing but certainly not the sort of humour you would use with someone you haven’t met yet.

Raccoonsmacaroons · 22/07/2026 22:07

What is the context? Are you on a night out or anything?

Needmorelego · 22/07/2026 22:07

I don't even understand what it means 🤷

TheChosenTwo · 22/07/2026 22:08

Huh? I would presume that’s gone to the wrong person, there’s no context to it at all!
just message back, sorry don’t think this was meant for me!
can’t see anything disturbing in it?

midwalker · 22/07/2026 22:08

I’m sure that’s meant for someone else OP

messyhairdontcare25 · 22/07/2026 22:08

I asked was this meant for me with a laughing emoji and be said yes

OP posts:
SecretSquid · 22/07/2026 22:08

If there's no context I'd say he didn't mean it for you. Sounds like he's mid conversation with a mate.

TooHotToBoogie · 22/07/2026 22:09

Just yuk. D

It must be a text intended for someone else? Or does he have a quirky sense of humour?

ThatCyanCat · 22/07/2026 22:12

Needmorelego · 22/07/2026 22:10

But what does he mean?

I think he's hoping that OP will reply, "No Master, I am such a naughty girl, please come round right away for lots of kinky sex!"

I’d reply “sorry, not following…?”

Well if that's what he meant it would have gone straight over my head 😁
My response would have been "What are you on about ?"

messyhairdontcare25 · 22/07/2026 22:18

I think he’s checking to see I’m submissive - urgh!

OP posts:
Nopersbro · 22/07/2026 22:18

I wouldn't have read it as sexual and would have assumed it was meant for his child. Since he has confirmed it was for you, I can't think of a context in which it makes any any sense and would have to ask for an explanation ... unless maybe you've had previous conversations about something like wanting to cheat on your diet or feeling guilty about slacking off when you work from home or something like that? It's still inappropriate, but maybe not his intentionally being an arse.

Madamefroufrou · 22/07/2026 22:19

or after the initial text you could have respondedd with “yes, definitely!”
which is in itself ambiguous but would have drawn him out

I’m disappointed you let this opportunity slip away

but stay safe OP and stay home Friday 🌻

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 22/07/2026 22:19

He is being Pervy and turning to initiate sexy chat. How are you all missing that!

Chalotte · 22/07/2026 22:21

Yuck. Bye bye weird man.

messyhairdontcare25 · 22/07/2026 22:21

There has been no chat about being well behaved at home in any way whatsoever which would make this make sense…

OP posts:
JLou08 · 22/07/2026 22:22

Describing it as disturbing is quite a dramatic over reaction.

ThatCyanCat · 22/07/2026 22:22

Obviously he's got no game or social skills but out of curiosity, what's his aesthetic?
