My partner came over and put our 2 year old to bed the other evening, I had previously said to him I can do it cos I could see he was tired but he still insisted he do it, she was messing around and didn’t want to go to sleep and I overheard him saying ‘I don’t care’ to her when she was crying. Then he said bye to her and stormed out and told me he can’t do it she’s up too late (it was 8.30) he said she should be asleep by 7 and if I want her up that late then that’s my choice. I didn’t want her up that late she has days where she plays up is this not normal?! He said she is too needy. So he left and then the next day I heard nothing from him and today he would usually spend the day with us or take her out by himself by now but I’ve still heard nothing so I text him and said I don’t understand what is going on is he coming to see our daughter today… and I’ve still not had a reply. This is the second time now I’ve been given the silent treatment and I feel like I’m done, every single time we argue we just go back to being normal without talking about what happened and resolving it and it’s getting on my nerves that I know I can’t talk to him about how I feel.
sorry for the rant, if this was anyone else’s partner what would you do because this isn’t normal for him to not reply and I’ve had enough.
