Been together 15 years, married for 11. Two children. He’s the main breadwinner. I work a small part time job around the kids. I’ve found out a platonic work friendship turned into inappropriate messages and drunken nights out. Both say nothing happened but I couldn’t give a fuck I don’t think I can ever get past it. So what are the next steps - how do people cope? I early £16k a year and his OTE is £150k.

Do you separate/lawyers/go straight for divorce/who decides on who gets what?

He feels guilty it wasn’t like that, wants me and out life bla blah blah couldn’t give a fuck I’m so done. Just need to protect myself and my children now.

So sorry for you, you really need to collect as much financial information as you can, house, assets, pensions etc. I would separate but not move out. Submit a CMS claim and go for UC, if you are 100% done then yes lawyer up. Stay strong.
