Meet up group ideas?

Looking for ideas for singles over 50, eg meetings / socials / dog walks etc
Does anyone have any ideas?
I've seen there are a few online, but not sure which is best (Stitch Meetups etc).
Would like mixed groups as I'm probably not ready for a relationship again just yet, I'd like to be out meeting people.
Thank you

I like walking groups, group outings to theatre or music gigs, art exhibitions and concerts. That way you go along to things that interest you and meet people with similar tastes.

Craft groups could work, as there's space to chat around the table and admire each other's progress.

People I know have made friends through wild swimming, cycling, am dram, choir, creative writing classes, art classes.

Just go get out there, go along to some and see what feels right.

If you go to a group and don’t like the people or it doesn’t feel right you don’t need to go again.
The worst thing you can do, is give yourself excuses not to go.

Ah, sorry no local knowledge of there at all. Evening classes for adults can be a great social activity. I've just joined the Soroptimists which is proving a great circle of female friendship.

Hi OP. I've just started a dog walking social group in Guildford. We are very new and small but feel free to drop me a line if it's a convenient location. Otherwise maybe start your own Facebook page and rope others in to a WhatsApp group?
