Pick of a bad bunch

Honestly - you’ll get much the same people whichever you choose. Match gives you a lot of scope to talk about yourself and what you want. Whatever route you take - be honest, be careful, be sceptical, be picky! And try to be thick skinned and keep your sense of humour

Thank you, I have quite thick skin anyway, so are paid for apps better?

Check out Burned Haystack. It'll save you wasting your OLD time on people who are undateable or toxic/dangerous, and help you "find your needle" or alternatively, realise you're fine on your own and that a partner should add to your life rather than make it worse.

I was advised that group before but didnt like it, very American. Didnt really get it tbh.

I think it’s worth paying for a limited time, yes. Maybe do a month and then if no joy - it’s actually good to give yourself a break from them.

I'd try Bumble too.
