I’ve been on MN for many years but have NC for this.

My ex and I have had a very up and down relationship. It all came to a head today when I had to call the police as he was screaming in my face and threatening me. He was arrested but is now back as there isn’t enough evidence to take it further.

We are joint tenants on our housing association house. I know that I cannot make him leave. Other than saying he’ll sleep on the sofa he isn’t willing to leave. He’s making it very uncomfortable for me already, horrible comments, saying things about me to the children and saying he’ll make life hell for me.

I have no family locally and can’t leave my house, he works 7-6 so I do everything for the children (3) he can stay elsewhere but won’t.

I’ve had a look online and it seems it’s extremely difficult to remove him from the tenancy. Has anyone been in a similar position? Or does anyone have any advice on what I can do to make it bearable for now?

I’ve told him I won’t do his washing, cooking etc.

How old are dc? Is he saying he wants to step up re caring for them?

They’re 9,7 and 6 months. He hasn’t said what he will do with them but based on his past behaviour I wouldn’t expect a lot from him with regards to the children.

Speak to women’s aid asap op. You need help with this quickly. Local authorities and HAs are becoming more aware of domestic abuse, they’ll hopefully know what to do to help you

I have used Courtnav and filled in all the relevant forms to apply for a non molestation and an occupation ordered. I will hear within 24 hours of submitting them to court
