Partner and I did it for a little over two years (I have children, they don't). Lots nice about it, but ultimately by the time we moved in, we were all very, very ready to do so. Things like living out of a suitcase half the week took their toll, and tbh we just stopped enjoying the time apart so much, so things progressed from being a lovely balance and the best of both worlds to "i want to fully share my life with you, and also the logistics of living across two homes (in my partner's case) are getting tiresome".

We've both been burned before, and living with a partner again wasnt what we expected to want, but it's where we ended up. We're obv financially better off now, but could disentangle relatively easily (no shared property and have kept separate finances), which helps.

Sorry - this sounds like I'm trying to convince you, which isn't my intention! For us, LAT ended up being insufficient in the end.
