Starting dating again at 47 after years single, any encouragement?

As the title says I’m 47 and been single years.
Only dd grown up no reason to not get out there.
Finding it hard after so long single but feel if I don’t do it now I might as well give up.
I know OLD is hard done it before but also know of success stories.
Not sure what I’m looking for maybe just some words of encouragement that I’m not past it etc…and also best dating sites for 40+.
Been happy single but would be great to have someone in my life again after so long.

Just go for it and see what happens. Worst case is you will have some good chats and dates, best case you meet someone who you will be with for a long time.

Are you sure you actually want to? Your wording sounds like you’re mentally gearing up for it and telling yourself you should. If you don’t really want to that’s fine too there’s nothing wrong with being single.
