What do you consider a normal response to this scenario?
in a relationship of around 7 months with a new boyfriend.
ex boyfriend (split up a year ago) text me out of the blue asking to meet to talk.
told new boyfriend ex text. I have no interest in meeting or responding so haven’t replied.

if this was you at either sides of this scenario- what’s a normal response?

im so used to jealous men I’ve lost sight of what’s a reasonable response

Best option is no contact at all he is your ex for a reason,
You have moved on, any contact gives them the opportunity of re-kindling something from nothing

This.
An ex contacted me and I couldn't be arsed to reply. Texting 'Fuck off' and pressing Send was more effort than he deserved.

If you've got no interest in meeting or responding to him then blocking him from contacting you again would be considered normal.

Maybe he’s pregnant 🤔

I am not sure I would have made a point of telling new BF - this would kind of imply that you need to run all contact from men through him. But it's good that he reacted like this was a non-issue (it was).

I guess it depends. Would he tell you about contact from exs? I have had relationships in the past where there man felt he was free to meet up with his exes any time he liked, but I wasn't even "allowed" male.friends. and yes, this made me furious, and I rebelled against it! Can't endure unfairness.

But hopefully this is not the case here.
