Silver Wedding Anniversary gift for DH

As title says I would love ideas for a silver wedding gift for my DH, everything seems to be silver jewelry or a bit twee, we don't normally give gifts but something small would be nice, we are going away for a long weekend together soon, but a little thing to give him on the day would be lovely, he is very low key about gifts in general and I really struggle for Christmas and birthdays already! thx!

Silver cufflinks?
Does he like fast cars? If so, tickets to Silverstone?

If he reads a silver bookmark would be low key and regularly used. You could also have it engraved

Do you have a garden? The previous occupants of our house: one gave the other a silver birch sapling, and they planted it and watched it grow. They pointed it out to us when we viewed. I’m quite protective of our now reasonably large silver birch tree, even though it’s in a somewhat inconvenient spot, because it reminds me of Reggie and Agnes!

Thanks for the ideas - he’s a jeans and tshirt guy even for work and not much of a reader and he likes his car but not a petrol head - the tree might be a good idea though - thanks for all of the suggestions!

Silver engraved keyring?

I got mine silver bullion since (a) it was small (b) it has the year on it so clearly relevant to the date and (c) it will hopefully retain value (or certainly not be worth nothing in a few years). He is interested in history so I got the limited edition one which was themed on the Royal Menagerie at the Tower of London. There are plain and themed options (especially if he likes 007 or Loki!) Silver watch, clock ?

FruAashild · 10/04/2026 16:38

There are a few silver wedding or silver anniversary roses, all white but some with a slight blush of another colour and some with more scent than others.
You can get 25yo alcohol, e.g. port or whisky or rum.
What about a meal out at a fancy restaurant? Or a silver photo frame with a nice photo of you both? Or a painting?

If you really can’t think of anything “silver” then don’t force it. You’ve said you often struggle with gifts for him but are there any little “silly” things which make him light up?

I’m thinking of some of the gifts I’ve given DH over the years which he’s received the best and they are quite odd. They don’t necessarily have any relevance to the occasion they were given for (a bar butler for his home office / man cave; a composting urinal for said home office / man cave; a bat box for the tree next to said home office / man cave; (which does seem to be a thing 😂); a meat thermometer; a miniature replica of the hydrotherapy unit the Chief used to break out of the asylum in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, one of his favourite movies. But they’re all things which whenever anybody comments on them he’ll say with much animated joy “that’s the [insert thing] Comtesse gave me for our anniversary / my 50th / when my business got its first major investor etc”
