Will my sex drive return after perimenopause or is this normal?

I am peri menopausal and would be quite happy to never have sex ever again. Will it ever change??

Yes it will (hopefully) if you take HRT and then add testosterone if it doesn't return. It's simply hormonal/ biological. I found that a bit odd, it made me realise I wasn't really in control of my thoughts and feelings.

I hope mine does. On HRT for three years and not much improvement. I get the urge but just can't be bothered with the practice other than as an act of generosity towards my very lovely husband.

It hasn't returned for me. Or only very slightly. Certainly not enough to actually have any interest in actual sex. And I really don't care that I have no interest. It feels totally logical and normal. In fact, I'm very glad I don't have that urge because it's freed me from having any interest in the opposite sex. And given my history of disappointing relationships, I feel as if I've won the lottery in having that drive for a relationship cancelled out.

I should add that I don't need HRT and couldn't take it anyway due to past hormonal cancer.

Mine never came back I might as well be dead from the neck down. I take hrt but never took testosterone which Ive heard really helps. I dont want to add to the beard I already struggle with.

It doesn't do that! Women naturally have testosterone and it decreases significantly after menopause. You are simply replacing it.

Thanks everyone!

Hasn't for me.
I tried HRT for a while but it gave me migraines.
I never think about it.
But DH isn't too happy about it.

Mine's came back at 52 following having a Mirena for adenomyosis. It'll never be the way it was in my twenties, but it's back. Unfortunately I got dumped 18 months ago so I'm DIYing the orgasms...
