I’m reposting as the first thread is kind of niche. What do I do? He says he’s “leaving as soon as he can”, but realistically he can’t. He can’t remember what conditions he has, can’t manage meds, drive, walk more than a couple of metres…
DS12 heard us argue and asked if his dad had hit me. His mind shouldn’t go there, should it?

Just to update, he’s now asleep on the couch. The puppy is in the same room. I really should let him (dpup, not DH) out and put him in his crate for the night but I don’t want to wake DH and also I don’t want to leave the puppy downstairs with him. DS’s are upstairs. I’m exhausted (in lots of ways) but feel like I can’t go to bed.

Well that sounds horrible OP - I think for now you need to just go in, grab the puppy and go to bed.
You need rest too.

Took him his meds. He insisted on leaving them on the table for later so I took the puppy out for safety. He then threw all the dog toys/ bed/ bowls into the hall saying that’s “the last thing I’ll ever get to do to him(DH)”. I told him the dog could stay in the room if he took the tablets or let me put them away, but he wouldn’t.

Do you love him or want to be with him?
