Tinder and Hinge accounts suddenly banned, has anyone appealed successfully?

Hi, just one for anyone who can assist.

I received an email from both Tinder and hinge saying that my account has been banned.
I’m unbelievably shocked as I have no idea why it would be banned. I’ve never had a horrible date, I’m on good terms with everyone I’ve met, I’ve definitely 100% not broken any rules. I had active chats on there and matches therefore if the admin or whoever controls the apps and making those decisions could easily review all that and know that I’ve not broken any rules.

I have appealed but has anyone had this happen appeal and it not restore your account?

Again, extremely confused and I can’t even think who it could have been that’s reported me if that’s what’s happened.

Any help would do, thank you.

Weird that both of them have banned you. They're not connected are they? (Never used any online dating so I don't know.)

You do need to appeal/contact them, and say you think there's been a mistake as you haven't done anything wrong.

I heard a comedian talking on a podcast about being banned from a dating app and because a lot of them belong to the same company, he was automatically banned from all of them. Someone probably reported you, maybe some loser that you didn’t want to meet?

I was perma banned from Tinder when I tried to sign up. They said I’d broken their T&C literally minutes after I created a profile.

I appealed but they said there is mo appeal system and they don’t change their decision. I asked what exactly is broken and they replied they will not discuss reasons for banning.

And yet catfish and scammers get accepted

I think I didn’t really use tinder so less bothered about that. But was getting along on hinge and had active chats. The only thing I can think of is someone perhaps I didn’t see again, but I’m struggling to think anyone would take it that bad

I was banned from hinge a few weeks ago, appealed, submitted my ID and was allowed back on again.

Almost all the main dating apps, including Tinder and Hinge, are owned by the same company - Match.com. Others they own include Plenty of Fish. Even OKCupid, which they ran into the ground.

Bumble is owned by a different company though.

I'm in the same boat. No explanation given - I dont even know on which app I'm supposed to have breached (have been banned on Hinge and Tinder), let alone what I'm supposed to have done. Had my appeal denied, no explanation given. It's very frustrating.

So annoying. I’m on bumble still so trying my luck on that. Unfortunately, the same thing happened my appeal got denied. They can’t give me any information. Is playing with someone who has not replied to or gone out with and it’s not materialised into anything

I got banned from bumble and the only interaction I had was unmatching a man who said he wanted to fold me like a pretzel. I didn’t even say anything to him.

Idk if he came across me again and reported me. But dating apps are 🗑️ anyway so I wasn’t especially bothered.

Because Bumble is owned by another company (not match) a ban on Hinge or Tinder doesnt affect them, luckily. I might create an account or might have a break! My experience on apps has actually been very positive, I've met some really lovely people, so I dont love the idea of not having that as an option (particularly when I dont know what I've done wrong!)

I was banned on Hinge a few years ago and appealed. They dismissed my appeal and I can't get back on to this day

I'm not banned from Tinder though
