Sudden pain and dryness during sex led to tears and confusion

my partner and I hadn’t been intimate in about 3 weeks, tonight when we tried I just couldn’t seem to start enjoying it, it felt slightly painful and just dry. I don’t normally have these issues I’m only 28. When we stopped because I said it was hurting I just began to cry and I don’t know why I just feel a bit lost

What were you apprehensive about? Is the relationship generally ok?

Im sorry this happened to you OP.
Where you not ready or actually wanting sex?
If sex is painful it can be for a few reasons but mainly you are not turned on enough or ready for it or wanting it to happen.
Hope you are okay x
