Is dating difficult?

I love love. relationships. Connection.
Ive always liked the romance parts of a film since I was a child. I’d notice the 2 squirrels in sword in the stone, romances in the soaps without tradegy, lady & the tramp…
I love the supermarket idea of having colour coded baskets for single/taken! If only I saw it working.
as I get older romance in life is disappearing. I wonder how can people flirt with each other when a stranger gives someone a dirty look for looking at them longer than usual. There are so many labels in life that can make it hard for people to approach others.
internet dating can be filled with catfishes. What’s happened to Valentine’s Day? It’s now aimed at couples? Why? Cupid was meant to fire his arrow at singles to match up? I’d love to see a colleague telling someone else that as it’s Valentine’s Day… ‘I like you’. It sounds like love actually. If anyone talks to a colleague for longer than usual it turns into gossip.
I'm not single but i can see how difficult dating could be.

Nah. Flirting and dating is great fun. People take it too seriously though. Dating apps are more like marriage bureaus.

There is no need to take dating too seriously. I'm happy to go for a drink, get to know someone, and then call a halt if it isn't something I want to do again.

I see very little romance, I don't think it's something that comes easily to British men. I don't mind though. Past boyfriends who were romantic - flowers, valentines etc - were also the ones who stalked me after I ended it.

When it comes to men, I'll settle for sane, sober, solvent and reasonable.

You're not single, but you think romance is dead and you think people should try and pick up in the supermarket

Okay

I'm thinking about dating, but I absolutely dread the idea. Nothing happening organically though
