Ex dragging feet in divorce

Can anyone give advice on this. Ex and I split 2 years ago now, we've been able to get a decree nisi in place but no financial agreement so no decree absolute yet. I've provided all my finances and he's just refused to engage with his solicitor at all.

I'm in temporary accommodation with our child while he's living in our family home. The solicitor has said there are things they can do to push it along but my worry is how expensive legal fees will be. There's not a huge amount of equity in the house and I'm scared it could be eaten up in fees and us be left with not enough to put a deposit down on a house. All I want is to get a permanent roof over my child's head and to feel settled. I do get legal aid but I'm not sure how much that reduces it by.

Anyone been through similar and able to give advice?

You’re just going to have to try and make the best of the situation you’re in now because as you say you don’t want to use up all your money so that you can’t have a house in the future. Why is your ex acting like this is there something that he wants from you or is it just petty revenge?

I think he's doing head in the sand to be honest. I haven't really got any assets for him to benefit from he's in a better financial position than me.
