Tinder and distance

I have set my radius to 10 miles and declined the option to show more if I run out of this range. However, I still keep being shown men from miles and miles away which is pointless.

Can anyone advise me please?

I think it’s 10 miles as the crow flies and even then I got men much further away. Never worked for me and other OLD platforms do seem to be slightly better with distances.

Glad that I'm not the only one! I got one from Burton on Trent today and I live in the tip of the south east coast!

Maybe they were travelling to and in your area?

There is a box you can tick (I think) that says show profiles outside my age and distance range if none available

I think this is it, the app is just running in the background.

Just be grateful you don’t live really close to a major airport!

There’s a passport feature on tinder that allows paid users to change country or / and city (one of my friends uses it). That’s the likely reason.

I did this, put 6 miles, then matched with my current partner because he happened to be out drinking near me one night. He lives an hour's drive away! But he's lovely. We do meet in the middle a lot but I do wish he lived closer.
