Boyfriend got no friends

How does my boyfriend (50) get more friends? His hobbies are jogging and racing a remote controlled car. He had 2 friends but they were very into coke which he’s not now. He has a school friend but doesn’t see him much. He socialises with his brothers and sister.

does he want more friends? If not, leave him to it

He does yes. He’s always complaining about it.

Finding nore people then..finding a remote control racing car club, a jogging club.

If he just complains and does nothing, he'll get what he's always got.

That’s a good idea but I think he’s always been a loner. Loved ice skating as a teen with a friend.

I’ll suggest this to him.

There actually used to be remote control racing outside at my local sports centre so I’ll see if that’s still going. He does like the pub but hates sports.

Personally l haven't made any connections via parkrun. My connections came when l joined a small running club that happened to go to my local parkrun...and so l met others that way.

I never join anything with the intention of making new friends as that doesn't always happen....l join as l like the actual activity and everything else is a bonus

Stop trying to fix his life he needs to do that himself.
