What’s your opinion?

My Ex just told me that he spoilt me too much! I’ve never asked him for anything in the 7.5 years together! But when I questioned it he said that he has always bought me everything I’ve asked for… so I asked for an example and he said the washing machine and tumble dryer..

now I obviously think it’s a bit far fetched to say I’m spoilt based on household needs but what’s the general opinion?

Give the washing machine and tumble dryer back to him and then block.

Goditsmemargaret · 14/02/2026 17:01

Yes he definitely spoilt you, no doubt about it.

If his best example is household appliances that are perfectly normal to have in the home and not actually gifts for women, then not sure how you didn't just laugh in his face

What a prince amongst men....sorry typo.....what a twat!

Willsmer · 14/02/2026 18:25

Well he's a real gent and no mistake. I assume he also supplied oodles of free washing for you to practice on ?

BlessicaBlimpson · 14/02/2026 18:30

Presumably he needed his clothes washed too?

flutterbye99 · 14/02/2026 18:40

Loving these responses! He does also need his clothes washed 😂😂 they’re both nearly 2 years old as well! And they were replacements and not just bought 😂 the old ones broke! I didn’t just wake up demanding a new washing machine.

He's an ex. What he thinks or says about anything not pertaining to the ongoing care of your children can safely be filed under "ignore".

Endofyear · 14/02/2026 19:17

He's your ex - who cares what he thinks? Why even have a conversation with him if it's not about the kids?!

SillyJilly2020 · 14/02/2026 19:17

Is this a guy you live with? Like its his washing machine ?

SMM2020 · 14/02/2026 19:20

Oh god I needed a good laugh…a washing machine and tumble dryer, better roll the red carpet out for him, what an absolute gent!
