New to relationships and I’m unsure

I’m in my first long term relationship. It’s mostly great and we’ve been together a year. One thing keeps coming up that is bothering me. I’m not sure if I’m being reasonable or not.
When I talk about something difficult or being upset about something (unrelated to her) she often just says nothing and does nothing.
sometimes I ask her what she thinks about what I’ve said and she just says something to the effect of well there’s nothing to say is there.
I don’t know if she thinks she needs to fix the problem and thinks well it can’t be fixed so there’s nothing to say?
it leaves me feeling really alone and hurt when she does this.
I know I am quite a sensitive person and I know you can’t get all your needs met by just one person.
is it a reasonable expectation to have your partner try and comfort you or hug you or say something reassuring when your upset or stressed?
And if so how can I improve this situation? Has anyone experienced this before and been able to talk it though to improve things?
thanks
