I’m hoping to tap into the collective wisdom here. I’m at a stage in life where companionship matters again, and I’m curious to know if anyone has had good experiences with dating platforms specifically for single parents or mums

I’m not necessarily looking for anything rushed just genuine connection, conversation, and the possibility of something meaningful if it grows that way. There seem to be so many sites out there now and many fakes and scams, and it’s hard to know which ones are actually worth joining.

If you’ve tried any platforms yourself, or know of any that feel friendly, safe, and geared towards our age group, I’d really appreciate your recommendations

Honest answer...... No.
You get chancers on them all and they are rough going.
Just like with everything online, people can be who they want to be. Go in with open eyes and an understanding that it's not easy, take breaks, set boundaries and it's never your fault, it's always them.
Just have to be chilled about it (as much as you can) and enjoy the good chats and dates if you have them.
