I read this article by Lara Feigel on her new book on divorce and custody— it looks really important and I thought others here who are unfortunate enough to be going through it might like to read. It’s really good that someone’s writing about this.

Terrible and confusing article

This has made me sad. I fled dv in 2019 my eldest 9 and my youngest 4. Constantly was I threatened with him taking them away because his family was better, he had more money, but I saw him switch emotional abuse to our eldest, and additional needs child with the mental capacity way below. Fast forward 5 years he still hasn't summoned me I have the kids full time bar the youngest sees him 5 times a year no overnights ( he can see her more choses not to ) but it was literally the chokehold of them being placed with him that kept me there so long.
