Divorce Consent Order Package? Solicitor? Advice Please.

I have been married for 4 years and my partner has left and moved in with their parents.

We are amicably divorcing. We didn't want to get solicitors involved if possible.

We agree on the financial split but need to get it written into a consent order.

We ideally wanted to get a rapid consent order drawn up. Has anyone done similar and if so how did you go about it? Which company did you use?

Same situ as you (well it was amicable) and we used: https://expressdivorce.co.uk/

According to Trustpilot they are really good. You can pay for an express service, but we didn't bother because we are still waiting on the conditional order being heard.

How far in advance did you do it? Our conditional order will land in March.
Want to sort ASAP and get a clean break.
Was the split pretty much 50/50?
I'll look into this service.

Literally straight after applying for the divorce, only thing I did have to do was get the conditional order date submitted once we had it.

Oh so I can crack on now. I thought finances might have to be more up to date. How long did the consent order take? Or is it pending?

Did you manage to get your CETV for pensions in a timely manner. Did you include cars etc on the financial disclosure?

We didn’t get cetv or up to date pensions and didn’t do full disclosure as we agreed split between us ( after 20’years marriage ) filled out d81 together with the figures we knew /estimated

I could download my CETV's within a couple of days of request. Most are private sector though.

Size40Shoes · 03/01/2026 19:14

Sorry and yes did include cars.

Were there any big differences in assets you both came out with? I currently have about 50K in savings whereas they have 10K. They are 8 years younger than me. We both work in the same job and earn the same. No kids. Only married 4 years.

I've had a generic email from NHS Pensions saying there is an unprecedented backlog and that new retirees will be given priority.

Are you happy with ExpressD? They're cheaper than most at under £300 for a consent order.

When are you due to finalise everything?

Yes, our pensions are SIPPs and private sector so we didn't have that problem.

Very happy with them. Although I did get guidance from a solicitor who told me what our agreement should look like under a free 30m before getting it written up.

Just waiting on the court now. I sincerely hope it doesn't take too long.

Divorce-Online have recently dropped their prices ( April 2026), I guess to compete with Express Divorce.
A basic clean break is £159
A consent order is £269
An order with pension sharing is £599
They don't have sneaky asset limits like Express divorce and you can get hold of them by phone or livechat. Express divorce have very little customer support from what I can see.

I have just started with a consent orders online. We have pension sharing as part of the settlement we agreed at mediation and they accepted the MOU when we signed up. £599 was the fee. Hope that helps.
