Long distance relationship

I'm a solo mum. I met a guy on a weekend away a five hour drive from me. We met up a few times since and I'm attracted to him and like his personality. We are both in our 40s. I really wanted to give it a go but I finished it because of the distance. I couldn't imagine how I would make it work and get to know him with that distance involved when I have a child. I was also afraid it would be too hard to get to know him and he could potentially prerend to be something hes not with that distance involved. I've been single for years though and I feel so sad now as I fear I won't meet anyone I like again. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Long distance relationships are pain. I write from the US. I’m home on Friday. I don’t think i can do this. Get out while you can. You’re right.
