Looking to hear from people who have had relationships / met their person after a long period of time single.
I’ve been a single mum for 5 years. I’m very happy with this most of the time and certainly not desperate to meet anyone who isn’t right for me.
However, a couple of days ago yet again I had a first date where the man has lost interest after meeting me.
So it would be nice to hear some stories from women who have had relationships after a few years of being single. Please share them 🙂

I was single for years before I met my first husband. Then a happily single mum for 7 years until I met my 2nd husband- I loved being able to do my own thing, I was completely happy and content until I met my 2nd husband!!!!!

I was single for approaching 10 yrs following a 10 yr relationship, then met my now husband, knew pretty much immediately he was special, and it was easy, we had spoken privately about marriage within a few months, engaged offically within 6 months but we only married around year 8. Can't imagine my life wiithout him now, every day is happy, we support each other, Maybe because we were both older, knew what we didnt want, no drama, no games, no toxicity or narcissistic tendencies. We have love, respect & consideration for each other.

I would say that you cant find love if youre looking, and cliché but you have to first be at peace with yourself to radiate the air of confidence that attracts a normal person vs one looking for a vulnerable person to exploit. See these posts where people are bouncing from one bad decision to the next, ignoring red flags. Happiness comes from within first.
