Good afternoon team Mumsnet ,
Hope you can help?
I have stupidly and rather selfishly washed my wife's lovey cos top she bought off Vinted , with a dark wash .
It has made it darker and my lovely wife is not happy with me, disappointed was the word, I'd prefer angry to be honest.

I do have previous with woollen socks over the years , and I am normally really carful, but for some reason this sneaked into the wash when I loaded the machine.
We share all house duties , be it cleaning, cooking , washing etc, and on this occasion I literally scooped a few things up in a hurry and did not check enough.

So after looking everywhere to buy a replacement with no success, I come to you good people on mumsnet, to see if any of you have this top in a drawer or cupboard that you no longer require, that I can purchase off you .
Its a European 36, and as you can see it has a very high front neck line..
Any how, hope you can help and thank you for your replies in advance.

If your wife's angry over this, I think you need to reconsider doing her washing in the future. My husband does the washing in my house and he's written off a few things of mine, including a wool cardigan I'd only just bought that he washed too hot and it went from a size 12 to something a five year old would struggle to get into 😄I take it as one of those things - no one is perfect, if I don't like the way he does the washing, I can always do it myself.

Can't help with the top it's hideous - would suggest setting up a saved search for it on Vinted or eBay.

Dye the whole sweater darker.

My husband occasionally washed some hand knits that were hand wash and they got shrunk and felted, it happens. It was an accident.

Dump the sweater and buy a cashmere replacement as an apology!
