I've been in a relationship for 1 year now. After a previous 15 year relationship ended. Since I've been with this new guy. I've been mastering a few things out with him. He takes his phone everywhere too kitchen, bathroom, the lot. He left his phone unlocked and his apps showed up without me going through it pof and tinder. He's been very secret. We went too have intercourse and he lost his hard on.... I don't feel loved. I feel like I do everything. I just wanna be happy and thought he was the one. How can I confront him?

Dont confront him, jusr end it! Rebound relationships after a long previous one like this one are rarely a good idea. There are better men out there.

bridezillaincoming · 13/11/2025 23:27

Get rid! Don’t waste your life in a relationship like that!!! Life is wayyyyyy too short!

mrandmrsrobinson · 14/11/2025 14:11

Bin. You're not feeling it

GiveafuckGertrude · 14/11/2025 14:13

No need to confront, he’s using dating apps after having been in a relationship with you for a whole year. There’s nothing to say, there’s nothing he could say, just bin him.

Zempy · 14/11/2025 14:15

No point. Just bin him. Tell him sorry, you just aren’t feeling it any longer.

RelationshipTherapist2 · 14/11/2025 15:22

I'm so sorry to hear this.

It doesn't sound like he has the same respect for the relationship as you do, and if the trust isn't there (which it obviously isn't - how can you trust him when he's being secretive and has dating apps on his phone?), then I think the best thing you can do is end the relationship.

I wouldn't suggest confronting him, as I don't think it would lead to any positive outcome. Just walk away.

Wishing you all the best.

End it.

SquareHead37 · 14/11/2025 16:12

Don’t confront. Don’t give him the pleasure of trotting out the usual denials that it’s not him. What’s the point?

I wouldn’t say a word. I’d make my own profiles on those sites and when he confronted •me• I’d block him.

Sorry to hear this. Do you live together? He doesn't sound fully invested in the relationship at all and he's definitely not trustworthy.

Hey lovely, yes we live together. Then last night I was in bed, he came upstairs and says I'm going too check my best friend at 1am this morning. His best friend is female. I don't feel anything from him. He seems empty and always watching his phone.

Have the courage to end this relationship immediately or you will always be on edge and thats an awful feeling. You'll be so much better when you're not worrying about what he's up to.

Lurleenlumpkin79 · 15/11/2025 19:03

Aww you seem such a lovely person. I'm sorry he thinks its okay to treat you like this, even when you live together. Do you share the house together or is it just yours?

Unfortunately, there are men out there who want all the "Wife" or even Mother perks of having a woman around.

Meanwhile they just carry on behaving as though they're still single. Well let him be single then. Kick him out if you can. Better ones out there for you.
