After 11 years with my partner (he's older and retired) I'm late 40s and peri, my daughters gone to university and I'm just empty. We live abroad in a really quiet hamlet and I'm just so fed up. I cant get a decent job and I have no security in this country.
Ive started applying for jobs back in the UK (Ive 2 degrees), I'm worried I'm going back alone but I'm fed up here. WWYD?

Now is your time to live your life as you want now your daughters are older. Life is so short, live it and do what is best for you .
Do you have family back in the UK, or an area you would want to be ? X

Thank you, yes I have family in the UK. My daughter here is happy at uni and has a bf so I was worried I was abandoning her, but shes fine.

This is the second thread today about a large age gap going awry with time. You’re only in your 40s - you don’t need to stay in a relationship that is not meeting your needs. Go and live your life.
