Experiences of speed dating?

Considering going to a speed dating event tomorrow. Been single for 2 years, all my friends are married and have families and I don't fancy spending another Friday night at home.

If I do go I'm going on my own, I can be a little awkward so not sure how I feel about going on my tod!

I went to a few when single. It was fun.
I always went on my own and plenty of others did too.

I've been with friends but would go alone as most turn up alone and so it is easy to chat to people at bar before it starts. I will go again.
