Can anyone offer any advice or insights (for either partner) in this situation ?
Therapy is booked waiting for assessment but really not sure if there’s anything to do / not to do during this flare up ?

What does the flare up look like? Control of you?

It’s manifesting as agoraphobia, separation anxiety, insomnia and disordered eating.

I can’t fault him in that he’s booked in immediately for therapy upon realising there’s a problem and is constantly apologising. I just don’t want to do anything wrong. There’s a clear trigger issue so I’m hoping this is something therapy can really help with but right now I feel useless and don’t want to say or do the wrong thing

I think he's done the right thing getting therapy, hopefully he gets the right kind of therapy - if he's got CPTSD the standard 6 sessions of CBT people are usually offered first won't be the right thing. He needs trauma specific treatment.

For you, I think try and keep life as normal for yourself as you can, look after yourself and make sure you have time to relax/time to yourself that isn't focused on worrying about him. CPTSD can be pretty all consuming for a person, don't let yourself be consumed by it too by forgetting your needs in favour of his.
