School anxiety follow up

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone who replied to my last post. I have managed to get my daughter into school everyday. I have to take her 20 mins early before all the kids steamroll in and she goes to breakfast club.

yesterday though she was starting to act like she didn’t want to go in. She did have the runs at the wkd so I did understand but said come on you have to. So we went as usual reception called up to student support and for 15 mins theu said we are coming. She won’t go up on her own. Then when then I came down I said can someone please come a bit sooner as she was already backing out of the door.

i know it sounds silly to people who do not understand school anxiety but the effort just to get her there some days is fraught. The girl said we were waiting to see if she would come up on her own. I was a bit annoyed they know she won’t atm. Maybe in time but she is still too anxious. I am not really finding the school too helpful at times i have applied to ECHP and a senior doctor has put in an urgent CYPS referral.

i know there are a lot kids and resources are stretched but they seem to be of the attitude well it’s been 2 weeks now. Once she is there she seems ok with access to student support but it’s getting her there. Guess I just needed a rant as dreading going in this morning.
