Is she hitting on me?

I was in the lift at work with a woman I don't know who I've seen around a couple of times, she started talking to me about something ordinary like doing laundry then said "I live on my own" which at the time stood out as an unusual thing to say to someone you've just met and are in the lift with for one minute, it seemed out of context. I saw her again today and she smiled and winked at me. I'm wondering if this is flirting or am I massively overthinking normal communication? For context she is unusually good looking and seems quite outgoing and confident, maybe she's just a generally flirty person who likes attention, what do you think?

It would be helpful to know if you are Mr ConfusedColleague or Ms ConfusedColleague.

To be honest, I don't think you know her well enough to know if this is just her natural communication style or if she is honing in on you specifically. I think you'd need to have further interactions with her to know for sure. Either way, sounds like those experiences have brightened up your day and nothing wrong with that!

Are you gay or bi? Do you fancy her?

I don’t think you’d know either way from what you’ve posted. She might just be friendly
