Help me find my divorce certificate

In 2016 my civil partnership was dissolved. I'm booked in tomorrow to register intent to marry with my new partner and heck can I find any documents! I think I can apply for a copy but I have to do so via the court that granted it. I don't know! We were living in town A but had the wedding in city B and were in city C at the time we split up. Would it be with the court in town A? I just don't remember! Oh dear

It isn't a certificate it will be a decree absolute. You most likely will have issued at the closest court to where you lived at the time you split up so I would try there first.

Found it! In a folder marked 'divorce' that i don't remember making. Issued by Stoke on Trent, where I have never even been, so heck knows
