"Please just talk to me or if you don't talk to me youll see a bad side to me. Thats not a threat but im in a bad mood"

My ex partner, partner at the time sent me this

He claims its in my head it wasnt a threat but why did I feel it was.

That is definitely a threat. Telling you it's in your head is gaslighting. I hope you're well shot of him now.

JadziaD · 14/09/2025 11:52

it could be a threat, if "bad side of me" is him being violent or similar. It could be a fear/warning if his bad side is him crying/getting drunk whatever.

Either way, it's ridiculous and controlling and manipulative and it sounds like a good thing you're out of that relationship.

It is a threat. It means Either do as I say or you'll regret it.

Stay well away.

On the 18th august he covered my mouth during an argument "to shut me up" then put his hand around my neck

Hes had my head in a spin for a year and as much as I miss the good parts of him. Yes it is done. Police are involved but because he lives in different district they have to transfer case over which can take 5 days so hes still not been arrested yet
