When dating what level of communication between dates is expected?

So just that really…… in between date 3 and 4 with date 4 arranged for next week. Started chatting 7 weeks ago and t cut have been generally one or two a day or every 2 days max but generally daily. We met last week then twice since. So how much communication is normal between dates? I don’t know the done thing here. I’d prefer to keep the momentum of a couple a day as nothing for days just feels too distant to me and automatically makes me think that I’m being ghosted. I know this is part about my own insecurities but what’s the normal/ expected level these days?

There is no normal op. This is something to talk to your date about next time you see them, face to face. Some people like constant all day communication, some just a check in every few days. Please don't let answers here dictate what you need - have the conversation with them based on your feelings. Ask 'how much communication do you like and need between dates?' then tell them what you want.
