Feel like my boyfriend loves me a lot more than I do him?

Has anyone ever experienced this?
im 1.5 years into this relationship and to be it’s a slow burner but i do love him and enjoy spending time with him.
he always says a lot about how he loves me, he’s very romantic with his words and gestures and it’s lovely but I can’t help feeling a gap between how we feel about one another

can this sort of relationship work out?

Not sure. It might be just that he expresses the same feelings in a different way, which doesn't matter.

However, I spent half my life in relationships making a huge effort to try and feel more for partners who I felt I "owed" love to because they were so vocal about it. Now that I'm 193 years old I'm with somoene I truly love with all my heart, and it's a very different feeling. If you're worried about "not loving him enough" then that's something to watch out for.

What are your individual living circumstances? Do you both have security? Are solvent? Any children in the mix?
