How do I deal with rejection

I've known a FWB for many years. Had a hiatus whilst I've been in a relationship/had a child. We were supposed to meet this weekend for FWB but he's decided he's not comfortable. This was after meeting a couple of times over the past few months and messaging.

I just feel hurt and confused.

Also it's lonely being a mum and he was someone who actually made contact with me post birth.

The father of my child isn't involved, gone AWOL. Different story.

I just don't know how to cope with my feelings or what they are.

Don't think of it as rejection. Think of it as redirection. This one isn't for you, but someone else might be and might even be better.
