Worried about STD’s

evening

I recently posted about new partner who I’ve been with for a few months now going abroad on lads holiday, telling me he had been speaking to some women but there was nothing in it.
He has now admitted that he slept with one of the women.

I take my sexual health extremely seriously. prior to the holiday I asked him to get a home test done before we stopped using something (I’m on contraception but I was using condoms to protect against STD’s).

he’s admitted to the fact that he forgot to use someone with this person. I have very obviously ended the relationship. But now im in a tizzy about std’s. I’ve ordered a home testing kit which will hopefully arrive early next week. I’m overthinking everything, I’m due on and keep seeing signs of things that ‘could’ be an std and sending myself into panic.

I have a young DS and I’m really worried that I could pass something on - another reason why I am so cautious. Is this possible does anyone know?

Also to add I don’t have a gum clinic near me that takes walk ins for over 25s, it’s all done via home testing kits unfortunately

Chill. You’ve gotten rid of the creep, you’ve ordered a test. Hopefully it’ll all be ok but if not you will know about it and get treatment soon enough. No point worrying unduly until you know there is something to worry about.

As far as I know the only things that could be passed to your dc are skin things such as herpes (cold sores) but in most cases you’d need an active one for it to be really contagious. I think you’re letting your mind run away with you here.

@whambam67 Yeah you’re right I am worrying more than needed. Think it’s just all new to me as prior to this I was in a 10 year relationship with DS dad. So I’m just feeling a bit embarrassed and all over the place that this is happening.

thanks for the reply though

I remember your other thread OP - I posted on it. You were proved right to be suspicious of him. I'm really sorry he has put you in this position.
You've ordered the test kit. Hopefully you will get an all clear.
You are well shot of him.

@Smallchangebigstep Thank you. I’d taken the feedback onboard from the previous post and decided to forget about it all and then a few days later he admitted to cheating. Just my luck hey.

thanks fingers crossed all is ok when results come back.
