Online couples therapy

Has anyone used online couples therapy and if so would you recommend it? Looking for some decent meaningful therapy and there's very little of that available where I live. Recommendations very welcome! Thanks

Tried it, it was awful, ex ranted on, therapist on screen didn’t manage to stop him, total waste of money paying to listen to that. Tried with another online therapist, got nowhere. Tried in person, too late to save it.

Sorry to hear that @VenusOfTheKitchen. Anyone else got any experience?

Yes online therapy has been helpful for me. I'd say you need to know what you're after and not be afraid to go through a few therapists to get the right one. It's also helpful to know if either of you would benefit from individual therapy before doing couples. Particularly if there is any abuse going on.

As a therapist I absolutely wouldn't advise online couples therapy.
Individually it may have some benefits, but with a couple I can't imagine it actually having an impact. A therapist is far too restricted online and can never play into the non-verbal layers as well as in person.
However, if it's a matter of no therapy at all or online therapy and you feel that you need it, then it can't hurt to try to save your marriage.
