Well, tonight is the last night before I marry the most amazing man. I can't quite believe where the last year has gone... from finding the ring early July, to him proposing on holiday last August... we've planned a big wedding... and now it's happening TOMORROW!!!
I just wanted to update for all the lovely people who posted on my thread in their excitement! And for those who found my hidden thread in off the beaten track! I shall endeavour to share an anonymised photo when I am able to!

Thank you everyone! I've been up since 5.30 getting ready! We marry at 12, so time is of the essence! The bridesmaids are about to arrive, so I'm just sitting having a breather for 10 mins, taking it all in. Today, I'm going to be a wife! Yikes! 🤣

Due to some hate the Op received on the initial thread, the follow up thread went elsewhere and was prob 30 days only.

We made it! I'm absolutely shattered, but over the moon! We had the absolute best day. We are in such a lovely little post wedding bubble here, no post Wedding blues for us. Just lots of happiness!
Nothing went wrong all day. Everyone behaved (we worried about our divorced parents who had potential for diaster!). My now DH (!) choked up doing his promises and his speech; I've never seen him cry in the 8 years we've been together! It just gets me every single time I think about it. It was just so bloody beautiful! The whole day... I just didn't want it to end!

One thing I will say is that just because a man waits to propose, it does not mean he doesn't want to marry you. I thought the day would never come, but once it did - he was full steam ahead and has been as committed to this as me. He's been fully involved in the whole process, and it has brought us even closer together (which I didn't think possible, but I was wrong!). If you're waiting for a proposal, I really hope it's as amazing for you as this has been for me.
