If OLD worked for you, what do you think you did right?

I’m about to enter OLD having separated from my husband…there are so many threads about how terrible it is and how awful all the men are.

i don’t doubt this (I did enough pre-marriage to know the score). That being said, it would be great to hear some good news stories and whether you think there was anything you did that made you more likely to be successful?

I’ve had 2 long term OLD relationships. The current one is over 2 years and it’s going well.

If you know people who have done OLD in your area then ask them which they think is best. The sites are different so find one that suits you best. I like ones where the person completes lots of information so you can find out about them to assess your compatibility. Also have some rules for who you wouldn’t accept eg if there’s certain things in the photos or description that would put you off. Also be open minded about pictures as some people are better looking IRL
