Update on my lodger situation

I posted the other day but had to remove the post. Basically I had a ukranian guy living with me and for many reasons he was moving out but he took to abusing me beforehand.

Just wanted to say thanks to anyone who gave me advice. He has now gone and it was anything but peaceful, police etc here to oversee things but he is gone, has no access to my home again and that is hopefully the end of that.

It has been horrendous but he is gone now. Still sent me harassing messages and thinly veiled threats up until I got my keys back but he is gone and will never be back.

Not to alarm you but if you haven't done so already I would definitely change the external locks as keys can be copied.

Ah yes I have done this thank you though. I knew he would be difficult and I posted the other day as I was a bit scared but police backup definitely helped me. Honestly you really do not know people till you live with them. Never again.

I was on your thread. You were so worried about not being able to kick him out due to his circumstances but it seems you followed other posters advice to get him out sooner. Well done! Enjoy the peace and quiet

my original post explained it. It was a reply to another poster about ukrainians so i changed my username to respond and then realised i could do with support myself.

ALL nationalities are capable of abuse, violence and crime.

Nothing or no amount of money or want to help people will ever feel as good as knowing you are safe in your own home. The irony that I have him safety here as he was not safe in his own home and he did this is not lost on me. He actually threatened me and sent abusive messages etc yesterday but now he has actually brought himself to the attention of the police and I would say he is raging with himself over it. He tried to break things in my home etc. Honestly a horrible human but if you looked at his social media you would think he lives a fantastic life. Horrible man.

I am glad it is sorted for you. He needs blocking and I would let the police know if he contacts you again. He sounds truly horrid. I send hope that he stays away from you from now on.

No there was no time to pre plan anything. I had the key in the back of the door so i knew he could not just arrive into the house but i was in the shower when he tried to get in and he started hammering on the door then rang me. I answered and told him i was in the shower and give me time to get dressed etc and hung up but got out the shower to a barrage of abusive messages. Horrible odious man.

Have you got a ring doorbell Incase he comes back?

Oh yes have had one a long time thankfully. I was able to watch him packing his car yesterday on it all while he took photos to post on social media. The police asked me was it to see if there was damage and I said no it will be for his online friends. True enough before he drove off it was plastered on his socials. He is ridiculously narcissistic.
