Confused with male coworker

I feel awkward over a Male work colleague. I believed he was interested, same as what my previous exes did when they chased me (smiles, staires, eye contact, eye brow flash, fidgeting etc, that’s what got my attention. Around that time he did put his arm around me when we were both on a work do as we headed to another bar, even though we hardly ever spoke or worked with each other as I was only 6 months into the job & he mostly usually works from home. Within months of this he asked me for advice about something relating to is new pet dog as I used to work in the trade, now the guy includes everybody in conversation & shows them the videos & updates of his new pet when he calls into the office except me. He seems to have banter with others but seems awkward with me. He regularly notices my fb posts but hasn’t done recently. I’m not sure how to take him, I’m autistic & suffer with anxiety. I feel he has lost interest or I got it completely wrong & I feel so stupid. But he treats me differently to others. He’s quieter with me. Why?

What would you like to be the case?

Troubledsole · 23/06/2025 19:38

I have ended up liking him, but didn’t notice him at the beginning before the work do.

I don't think he's interested OP. Plenty more fish in the sea.

I feel he could definitely be interested and this is why he is more shy in your company. He is more aware of his actions as he doesn't want to make a fool of himself in front of you plus he's careful of what he says so he now says not a lot in front of you ..it's classic case that he likes you (in my opinion)..

How old are you op?
