Tracking Advice needed

I am pretty sure my former partner is tracking me or having me followed and or reading my messages.
I was having coffee with my new partner and the follow day my ex sent me a physical (typed on paper) note saying he knew I had and lover and he knew where he lived.
A friend of mine also said she saw my ex in the car park of the gym I go to. My ex isn’t a member, but the new guy is.
We are in the throes of what is becoming an acrimonious split. I have told my lawyer of my fears for my new partner however she says until he does something there is not much that can be done and that the police won’t be interested. (Ex is a former police officer.)
I have a vpn on my phone now, and two factor authentication but can anyone advise on any other steps that I can take to minimise intrusion?

Sorry you are going through this! Firstly, you need to change your passwords on all your apps, Google accounts, apple id, emails etc, then make sure to log out and log in with the new passwords.

Secondly, take your car to a mechanics and tell them you suspect their is a tracker on your car. They can give it a full inspection. Make sure they video and take photos.

Lastly, log any instances with the police.
