Paused/hidden profile on Hinge - cheating?

Why would a man pause his profile on hinge effectively hiding it but still be matching and messaging women?
I can only think if they are married or with someone and cheating or can you think of a plausible reason that would discount this theory?

I used to do this. When I was new to old I didn’t want everyone to know, my ex to see me, people looking at my profile while I was going about my day…I wasn’t comfortable with the whole thing really

Could be because they have had a couple of dates with someone so seeing how that goes rather than delete profile and start again if it doesnt work

It could be as simple as he’s away with work and doesn’t want to match in the area he’s in for a day or two. This is why I pause my profile temporarily. Or that he’s had dates and is waiting to see if it will turn into something. If you’re a match it keeps those on most sites though?

Basically because I didn’t want to have to redo my whole profile if it didn’t work out, but I’d got a good feeling about the guy I was seeing so didn’t want my profile to be visible to other guys.

I would’ve deleted my profile when we had the exclusive talk, for me that’s a month or so in.
