I (25F) went away to Nashville, my boyfriend (30M) did not want to come. When I came home he kept asking for his gift. I bought him one but wanted to surprise him so I told him I didn’t get him anything and he was upset about it. I showed him the hat the next day and he loved it. He went away two weekends later and when he came home, he did not get me anything at all. Am I allowed to feel butt hurt especially cause it felt like he made it a big deal to begin with? I feel like I’m always the one going above and beyond to be met with mediocry
